Shazam, the mobile music recognition company, today announced the appointment of Tom Clark as UK Business Development Manager. Clark brings with him four years' experience in business development and global consulting and will be tasked with driving UK revenue from new and existing partnerships.
Prior to joining Shazam, Clark spent four years working for netdecisions, an ecommerce consultancy which focuses on transforming the world's leading businesses. His remit
included the delivery of the complete portfolio of emap digital music sites, such as Mixmag and Kerrang.
At Shazam, Clark will be tasked with maximising the opportunities to build UK revenues by partnering with a wide range of companies involved in delivering mobile music services, ranging from ringtone providers to media companies and the music industry. Boasting exceptional business, analytical and communication skills, Clark's global consulting experience will play a strong part in positioning Shazam as the preferred partner to deliver mobile recognition services to UK mobile operators and related companies.
Clark will report to Matt McCann, Business Affairs Director, and together they will be responsible for driving and supporting new white label partnerships to increase revenues from Shazam's pioneering music recognition service.

Shazam boasts one of the largest databases of music tracks in the world and is expanding on an ongoing basis, as the company's coveted music recognition technology is adopted for various uses within the music industry. The company's technology can also be used to constantly monitor TV, radio and internet broadcasts and provide real-time information on all music being played, bringing new levels of accuracy and efficiency to the royalty
distribution industry.
