This week's Featured Tag Chart Track
Evanescence "Bring  Me Back To Life" (Wind-Up)
    - release date: 26.05.2003
This single first donned the Shazam Tag Chart earlier this year as music fans frantically tagged this stunning new track. This beacon of light heralds from the hotbed that is Arkansas; the home of race riots and Bill Clinton is now the source of one of the hottest rock acts to hit radio. Evanescence are the four piece, biggest selling female-fronted band since No Doubt behind the hauntingly beautiful single "Bring Me Back To Life", taken from their platinum certified debut album Fallen. Amy Lee (Vocals), Ben Moody (Lead Guitar), John LeCompt (Guitar) and Rocky Gray (Drums) joined forces at the tail end of the 90's to hone their "ethereal metal", drawing on their shared love of such artists as Tori Amos, Danny Elfman and Bjork. Their sound didn't quite fit the limp-Korn-esque mould that was popular at that time, but a growing underground following secured their future as an impressive rock act. With the help of a little exposure courtesy of the soundtrack to the rather dubious Daredevil flick, Evanescence have been propelled into the charts and onto radio on both sides of the Atlantic. Featuring vocals courtesy of  12 Stones' Paul McCoy , "Bring Me back To Life" has won the approval of many radio DJ's nationwide and looks set to repeat Evanescence's success from across the pond.  Pop is officially dead, or at least dying.....

    Single Of The Week:
Lil' Kim "The Jump Off" (EastWest) - With even less clothing on than a new born babe, Hip Hop's Venus is back with a vengance.

    Album Of The Week:
Goldfrapp "Back Cherry" (Mute) - Superb full-length follow up to the popular debut Felt Mountain

    Tip Of The Week:
Make sure when you go on holiday there are no Transylvanian twins in the cockpit.
